What Brave Does on Its Own
- Continue where you left off, under Settings → Get started → On startup.
- Reopen closed tabs with Ctrl+Shift+T (Cmd+Shift+T on Mac), or from History.
- Brave Sync: devices join a Sync chain with a 24-word code and share bookmarks, history and open tabs. Tabs from other devices appear at brave://history/syncedTabs.
- Tab groups and vertical tabs.
Where Brave’s Tools Fall Short
Tabs from other devices show what is open right now, not what was open yesterday, and you open them one by one. Session restore keeps a single previous session.
Brave has no way to name a set of tabs, keep earlier versions of it, or export it to a file.

Can I install Chrome extensions in Brave?
Yes. Brave is built on Chromium and installs extensions from the Chrome Web Store, including BelayTab.
Does Brave Sync keep my open tabs?
It shows tabs currently open on other devices in the same Sync chain, at brave://history/syncedTabs. It doesn’t keep earlier sessions or let you restore a whole window from another device in one go.
How do I get my Brave tabs back after a crash?
Reopen Brave and press Ctrl+Shift+T, or check History. With BelayTab installed, the Recovery screen also has snapshots taken every 5 minutes.
