How Do You Save Tabs With BelayTab?
Open BelayTab
Click the BelayTab icon in the toolbar. The popup lists the tabs in the current window, all checked.
Choose the tabs
Leave them all checked to save the whole window, or uncheck the ones you want to keep open. The button shows the count, for example “Save 27 tabs”.
Save
Press the button, or use Ctrl+Shift+S (Cmd+Shift+S on Mac) without opening the popup. You’ll see “Saved. 27 tabs in “Research”.” with an Undo link.
By default the saved tabs close, which is the point for most people: fewer open tabs, less memory. If you’d rather keep them open, change it in Settings.

Whichever you pick, the result is the same kind of session: a named list of tabs you can restore whole, restore one tab at a time, rename, merge, split or export.

Finding Saved Tabs Later
All saved sessions live on one sessions page. Search matches tab titles and URLs across every session as you type, and long lists stay fast because only the visible rows are drawn.
You can pin a session to the top, tag or star it, drag to reorder, and clean up duplicate tabs with one click. BelayTab flags duplicates across sessions but never merges them without asking.
Saving Without Pressing Save
Manual saves are for tabs you want to name and keep. Separately, BelayTab snapshots every open window every 5 minutes and whenever a window closes, so tabs you never saved can still be recovered after a crash. Snapshots are covered on the restore tabs page.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I save all my tabs in Chrome?
Click the BelayTab icon and press Save, or press Ctrl+Shift+S (Cmd+Shift+S on Mac). Every tab in the window is saved as one named session. Chrome’s own option is to bookmark all tabs into a folder, which doesn’t keep tab groups or version history.
Is there a limit on how many tabs I can save?
No. Sessions and tabs are unlimited on the free plan. BelayTab stores everything on your computer and warns you well before the browser’s storage runs low, so nothing is dropped silently.
Do my tabs close when I save them?
Yes, by default, because most people save tabs to close them. You can turn that off in Settings so saving leaves the tabs open.
Where are my saved tabs stored?
In your browser’s storage on your computer. Nothing leaves the device unless you turn on Sync. You can also export everything to a JSON, CSV, URL list or HTML bookmarks file at any time.
Can I save tabs from every window at once?
Yes. “Save all windows” saves each open window as its own session in one step.
