What Opera Does on Its Own
- Workspaces in the sidebar keep separate sets of tabs, such as work and personal.
- Tab islands group related tabs together in the tab bar.
- Reopen closed tabs with Ctrl+Shift+T (Cmd+Shift+T on Mac), or from the tab menu.
- Right-click a tab and choose to save all tabs to a Speed Dial folder, then open them all later.
- On startup, Opera can retain tabs from your previous session.
Where Opera’s Tools Fall Short
Saving to a Speed Dial folder keeps the order of tabs but not their tab islands, and it’s a manual step you have to remember. Workspaces hold only their current tabs.
Opera has no built-in way to export a session to a file or keep earlier versions of it.
