Open settings
Open BelayTab and go to its settings.
Turn on automatic export
Switch on the rolling export to a local file.
Choose a schedule
Pick how often the export runs.
Check the readout
The storage health readout on the sessions page shows when the last export ran.
Why Keep an Export File if I Already Have Snapshots?
Snapshots and version history live inside the browser. If the browser profile breaks or the extension is removed, they go with it. The export file sits in your Downloads folder, on your disk, outside the browser.

Can Other Programs Read the Export?
Yes. It’s a plain JSON file. You can open it in a text editor or any tool that reads JSON.
The export file is on the same computer as the browser. If that computer dies, copy the file somewhere else, such as a cloud drive you already use, or turn on Sync.

What happens if my disk is nearly full?
BelayTab warns you when its storage reaches 80% and prompts an export. It never drops data silently.
