How to Uninstall BelayTab Without Losing Your Tabs

Step by Step

1. Export to JSON

   On the sessions page, choose Export, then JSON. This is the complete copy.

2. Export to HTML bookmarks too

   Any browser can import this file, so your tabs stay usable without BelayTab.

3. Move the files somewhere safe

   Copy them out of Downloads to a folder or drive you keep.

4. Remove the extension

   Uninstall BelayTab from your browser’s extensions page.

What Is Deleted When I Uninstall?

Everything BelayTab kept inside the browser: sessions, automatic snapshots, version history and the trash. Files BelayTab already wrote to your Downloads folder, such as rolling export files, stay on your disk.

The browser deletes extension storage as soon as an extension is removed. BelayTab can’t keep a copy after that point, so export first.

I Use Sync. Do I Still Need to Export?

Your sessions are on our servers while your subscription is active, and for 90 days after it ends. Install BelayTab again and sign in to get them back. An export file is still a good idea, because it doesn’t depend on any account.

Should I Reinstall Instead?

If BelayTab is misbehaving, contact support before uninstalling. Reinstalling removes local data just like uninstalling does, so export first either way.
