How to Restore a Saved Session

Step by Step
Open the sessions page
Click the BelayTab icon, then open Sessions. Type to search across session names, tab titles and URLs.
Choose the session
Click a session to see its tabs, or restore it straight from the list.
Click Restore
Pick a new window or the current one. The tabs open in their saved order.
Does Restoring Remove the Session?
Not by default. A setting chooses between “restore and keep” and “restore and remove”, and it starts on keep. Restoring a single tab never removes it from the session.
Restoring also adds a new version to the session’s history, so the version before the restore is still there if you need it.
What Happens With a Very Large Session?
BelayTab opens tabs in batches of 20 and shows a progress notification, so a 200-tab restore doesn’t stall the browser.
Why Didn’t Some Tabs Open?
Browsers don’t allow extensions to open their internal pages, such as chrome:// addresses, settings pages or other extensions’ pages. BelayTab saves these as text and, when you restore, tells you which ones it couldn’t open and why, instead of failing silently.
You can copy the address of a blocked page from the session and paste it into the address bar yourself.

Can I open just one tab from a session?
Yes. Click the tab inside the session. It opens without using up the session.
Are pinned tabs restored as pinned?
Yes. Pinned tabs come back pinned, and window position and size are restored where the browser allows.
I lost tabs I never saved. Can I still get them back?
Often, yes. Open the Recovery screen, which lists automatic snapshots taken every 5 minutes and when windows close.
